Corporate history and development
Together with our parent companies, TDDK looks back on a corporate history of nearly 95 years since “Toyoda Automatic Loom Works” had been founded by Sakichi Toyoda in Japan.
1998
- October: business formation as a joint venture of Toyota Industries Corporation and Denso Corporation
- November: construction start of building phase 1 (production)
2000
- April: start of production – the first compressor is delivered to our customers
- September: Grand Opening Ceremony

- March: start of production at the housing machining lines
2005
- May: construction start of building phase 3 (die casting)
- October: start of production at further machining lines
2006
- March: start of production at the die casting lines
- December: annual production exceeds 2 million compressors for the first time
2007
- October: production of the 10-millionth compressor
- December: installation of roof solar plant – at that time largest of its kind in Europe
2008
- February: start of production at the 3rd assembly line
- December: start of production at further machining lines
2009
- September: production of the 15-millionth compressor
2011
- April: production of the 20-millionth compressor
- October: topping out ceremony of building phase 4 (logistics)
2012
- July: topping out ceremony of building phase 5 (production)
2013
- September: start of production at the clutch lines
2014
- February: production of the 30-millionth compressor
- February: start of production at the 4th assembly line
